Notice is hereby given that the Town of Lake Placid will hold an election on April 5, 2022 to elect a Mayor and two (2) Councilmember’s.
The qualifying period begins Monday, February 14, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. and ends Friday, February 18, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.

This is the official town government site for Lake Placid, Florida.  The town has a Mayor/Council form of government elected by the town's residents. The population of the town is estimated as of 2010 at 2,278 with a geographical area of 2.84 square miles.

The town has two nicknames—"Town of Murals" and "The Caladium Capital of the World." Lake Placid has more than 40 murals painted on buildings throughout the town,and 98 percent of the world's caladium bulbs come from Lake Placid. The Town combines a colorful combination of caladiums, murals, with a clown college that graduates 25 new clowns a year into the community. The combination assures a magnificent year round beauty that has repeatedly received national acclaim.
